TONIGHT'S CONVENTION NEWS - NYC: 24TH ANNUAL NEW YORK CABARET CONVENTION AT JAZZ AT ROSE HALL - NIGHT 2 - COME FLY WITH ME
FEATURED CABARET FESTIVAL EVENT

For four nights in October, the MABEL MERCER FOUNDATION (http://www.mabelmercer.org/ ) will present a sparkling array of America's leading cabaret stars. Among the 60 outstanding artists who will take the stage at the ROSE THEATER AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER(Columbus Circle, Broadway at 60th Street, NYC - CenterCharge: 212-721-6500) on Monday through Thursday, from October 7th through 10th are multiple Grammy Award winner Jack Jones, Marilyn Maye, Steve Ross, Karen Akers, Nellie McKay, and Barbara Carroll.

SECOND NIGHT: COME FLY WITH ME
"Come Fly with Me": The Songs of Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, is the theme of the performance on Tuesday, October 8th, hosted by popular TV personality Bill Boggs and curated by prodigious jazz writer Will Friedwald. Among the evening's artists will be Jack Jones, a great Cahn-Van Heusen interpreter, who will receive this year's Mabel Mercer Award. Also celebrating this legendary songwriting team's centennial will be Billy Stritch, Allan Harris, Jennifer Sheehan and Sammy & The Congregation, the house band for the evening.
