NYC: SUSAN HODGDON CELEBRATES THE RELEASE OF HER LIVE CD FROM HER JUDY GARLAND SHOW
Susan Hodgdon celebrates the release of her live CD From Her Garland Show, "I Could Go On Singing" on Thursday, September 24th at 7:30 pm and Saturday, November 7th at 4:00 pm at
DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) which was performed on March 5th, 2015. "I Could Go on Singing" comprises songs sung by Judy Garland, including some of her lesser known songs as well as those commonly associated with Judy. This is a story of Garland`s life and includes tidbits not necessarily known to the public. Susan Hodgdon researched her project for over a year and wrote the show herself. Musical Director for the show is Daryl Kojak and includes arrangements by both Bill Zeffiro and Daryl Kojak. Tanya Moberly is the Director. Susan first started doing cabaret about 7 years ago and this is her 3rd solo cabaret show. In her 2012 solo cabaret show. Susan attended the 2008 Cabaret Symposium at Yale and has studied acting at HB Studio in NYC, Dance with Albano Ballet (Hartford, CT) and Voice with the Hartt School of Music Community Division (West Hartford, CT) and later continued her Voice studies with the Singer`s Forum (NYC). Susan has always had a passion for singing. She lives in Wethersfield, CT and frequently makes the trek into NYC to pursue her singing aspirations. By day Susan Hodgdon works as a Vocational Counselor with the CT. Department of Labor. She was first bit by the performing bug at the age of 10 when she performed in a traveling children's theater group, and later attended a couple of Performing Arts Camps, which gave her the opportunity to perform in Summer Stock Productions throughout New England. Susan also acted in local Community Theater Productions. There is a $5 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. Paid attendees will receive a free copy of the CD.

You will witness the true and intimate story of a love triangle come full circle as told through the compositions of the world's most sensitive love songs. Alex Leonard is Music Directing this concert and it will include material from David's forthcoming LOVE album, a collection of favorite love songs rearranged and given a contemporary and cutting edge vibe. This concert will include many of these songs in an acoustic and intimate setting. The album and concert are 2 thirds in the LOVE trilogy project that he is launching this year. The project will culminate to Beloved, which will be a musical theatre piece. David Vernon is a "natural talent" and his interpretations and delivery of song come from the center of his soul. Born in the Midwest but living on the east coast, David Vernon has always followed his own direction. He has created and produced many of his own conceptual concerts and has been given rise to lauded performances at The Algonquin Hotel, Birdland, Don't Tell Mama, the Laurie Beechman Theater and many other rooms in New York City. Whether performing pop,art songs, showtunes, jazz or the great American songbook David embodies a genre of musical interpretation and casts his spell on a wide diversity of listeners. Called "other worldly" by his critics, David has produced an extensive recording collection and he holds a keen sense of focus and deliberation in his work. David has been featured in theatre, clubs and on Radio and Television. But to truly capture his full essence one must experience him live.
