THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) will attempt to achieve a Guinness World Record by presenting a 3-day, 60 hour, marathon Variety Show running from Thursday, January 1st (New Year's Day) at 7:00 pm through Sunday, January 4th at 7:00 am. The marathon, which is eligible to become a Guinness World Records record-holder for longest variety show ever, will feature up to 100 Metropolitan Room artists, from its most prominent stars to its most promising emerging talents. On two nights of the event, Friday & Saturday, January 2nd & 3rd, Marilyn Maye will perform a full hour show at 7:00 pm. A complete line-up of the participating artists - anticipated to number 100 - will be announced on December 1st on the club's website. Day passes cost $25 per person, or $60 for a three-day pass. The club offers a complimentary beverage with each ticket purchased. There are no other food/drink minimums except for the Marilyn May shows.
