Ms Sullivan recently appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC with Brian Stokes Mitchell in Broadway Today, at the Humanities Festival in Chicago with Dave Frishberg. KT has headlined at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center, The Spoleto Festival, The Nouvelle Eve in Paris, The Chichester Festival in England and the Adelaide Festival in Australia. She was a guest star on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion and has seven albums in worldwide distribution on the DRG label. She received the "Mabel Award" for Lifetime Achievement from the Mabel Mercer Foundation and Liza Minnelli presented her with the Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs' Outstanding Female Vocalist Award. The Laszlo Gardony Quartet (Laszlo Gardony, piano, composer, arranger; Stan Strickland, vocals, saxophone, flute, bass clarinet; Yoron Israel, drums; and John Lockwood, bass) will perform at THE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757) on Wednesday, February 12th at 7:30 pm. Laszlo Gardony is a critically acclaimed artist who has brought his soulful improvisations and compositions to audiences in 25 countries. Winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition, Gardony has been called "a pianist worthy of praise within the highest pantheon of performers" by Jazz Review.com and "a great pianist" by Dave Brubeck. He has released 10 albums, leading groups that included Dave Holland, Miroslav Vitous, Mick Goodrick, Jamey Haddad, Bob Moses, Yoron Israel, John Lockwood among others. Aimee has a culturally rich background (Dominican and French Gypsy) and conservatory training (SUNY Purchase) that help to form the rhythmic and expressive foundation by which a jury of legendary vocalists including Al Jarreau, Kurt Elling, Dianne Reeves and Dee Dee Bridgewater judged her to be a finalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition in 2010. At the young age of twenty-six, Cyrille has since become one of the hottest young artists on the New York scene.
