MATINEE CABARET TODAY IN NYC: CABARET: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
The 24th New York Cabaret Convention ends its week with a special afternoon event on Saturday, October 12th at 1:00 pm at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551). The event, produced by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, begins with The New York Times's Stephen Holden interviewing jazz legend and original female be-bop pianist Barbara Carroll. Then take part in a panel discussion with some more of theatre's most influential journalists, including William Friedwald (The Wall Street Journal), Adam Feldman (Time Out New York), David Finkle (Village Voice), and David Hajdu (The New Republic). There is a $35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
