BOSTON: THE PAUL BYROM HOLIDAY SHOW

The Paul Byrom Holiday Show will be presented at THE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757 - ) on Saturday, December 21st at 7:30 pm. Paul Byrom is hailed as Ireland's premier young tenor and with good reason. From an early age, his special vocal gift brought him the attention of music industry scouts and fans alike. Lynne Fiddmont will celebrate Christmas in her show at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141 - ) on Saturday, December 21st with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Lynne Fiddmont got the singing bug while a teenager, and was soon singing in local coffee houses. She then briefly attended Boston's prestigious Berklee School of Music before moving to Los Angeles to further her musical life. Fiddmont has spent virtually her entire career supporting others. An in-demand backing vocalist, she has worked with such artists as Patti Austin, Stevie Wonder, Lou Rawls, Phil Collins, Yolanda Adams and her mentor, the late great Carl Anderson. A graduate of the Crane School of Music, Lisa is no stranger to the stage. With and acting career spanning over 15 years, she has performed numerous roles sharing the stage with a young Joe Jonas, and Eddie Mekka, and has toured the country with Nickalodeon. Lisa was featured on the 2012 Broadway Care album Carlos for a Cure along with Ricky Martin and Cyndi Lauper. Her voice can be heard on television jingles from PBS Kids to the Style Network. After a thrilling show in October, Karen Wyman returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday & Saturday, December 20th & 21st at 7:00 pm. She is joined on stage by John Oddo on piano, Jay Leonhart on bass, and Eddie Caccavale on drums. A national sensation for a short time in the late '60s and early '70s Karen Wyman is electrifying the music world. Wyman was just 16 when she astonished Dean Martin and his national television audience. In short order she made appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and on shows hosted by Carol Burnett, Jim Nabors, Glen Campbell, Dick Cavett, David Frost, Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas. She performed in nightclubs and recorded two albums and several singles for Decca Records, and had another on the way. Then circumstances changed. Karen began to raise a family, performing infrequently. Her last full show was a one-off in Atlantic City in 1989. Now 24 years later, Wyman is back for more and back to stay. THE TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC - 212-997-1929) will overflow with the musical joys of the season when Furshpan Productions presents three extraordinary talents, Leslie Uggams, Christine Andreas and Marilyn Maye take the stage on Thursday, December 19th at 8:00 pm. Martha Bartz and Mory Ortman present "A Holiday Cabaret" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Thursday, December 19th at 7:45 pm. Musical director is Dr. Mory S. Ortman with special guest Jeremy Blossey. A Holiday Cabaret takes the audience on a journey through the holidays using the American songbook, old and new. Humor, passion, and emotion combine through great singing and story-telling to create this fun and entertaining hour of music. The music ranges from well known and loved standards to the new compositions of Jeff Blumenkrantz, Jason Robert Brown and others. Something for everyone! There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

This is a unique open mic in the West End, having an acoustic baby grand piano and a bass player. Michael Roulston and Jonty Fisher will be regular musicians - and both are versed at both jazz and more theatrical songs. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.

THE TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC - 212-997-1929) will overflow with the musical joys of the season when Furshpan Productions presents three extraordinary talents, Leslie Uggams, Christine Andreas and Marilyn Maye take the stage on Thursday, December 19th at 8:00 pm. These award-winning Holiday Belles will bring their unique and diverse talents to the celebration, performing songs from the musical theater and the American Songbook as well as holiday favorites. The concert, conceived and directed by Michael Bush, will feature each singer performing her own individual set and then bring them together for a very merry finale of holiday melodies that will shake the snow off the roof and fill each and everyone with an abundance of tuneful holiday spirit.
