Los Angeles based singer Todd Murray brings his new show, "Croon" to CATALINA BAR & GRILL (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210 - ) on Friday & Saturday, July 9th & 10th at 8:00 pm prior to it's opening at NYC's FEINSTEIN'S AT THE REGENCY on July 13th. A former Broadway star, Mr. Murray has been touring the country in his acclaimed show "Stardust And Swing" which is also the title of his most recent CD. With 22 songs, "Croon" hits on each decade since 'crooning' came into popularity in the 1920's with standards as well as contemporary tunes by Dillon, Leonard Cohan, and one written by Todd Murray and Alex Rybeck who also plays piano in the trio comprised of Sean Harkness on guitar and Steve Doyle on bass, who will be backing Todd. FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - ) will continue its Spring/Summer 2010 season with the return of MAC & BISTRO award winning vocalist Eric Michael Gillett and his new show "Hooray for Love" Tuesday through Saturday, July 6th through 10th at 8:30 pm, following two sold-out shows earlier this year. After several forays into contemporary pop, Eric Michael Gillett turns his attention to classic songs from the Great American Songbook in a tribute to one of America's most beloved composers, Harold Arlen. The set list for "Hooray for Love - Gillett Sings Arlen" includes everything from "Blues in the Night" and "Gotta Have Me Go With You" to "This Time the Dream's on Me" and "Get Happy." The show will feature arrangements by music director Don Rebic. Eric's nightclub shows have included "Cast of Thousands - The Songs of Craig Carnelia," "Widescreen: Songs From & About the Movies," and his critically lauded collection of radio songs of the past forty years, "Hook, Line & Singer." He has been seen on Broadway in Kiss Me Kate, Sweet Smell of Success and The Frogs. New York audiences have seen him in the role of "Papa Denny" in Dream A Little Dream at the Village Theatre, as "Richard" in the York Theater's workshop of the The Tutor and in the New York City Opera productions of Cinderella, Pirates of Penzance and Candide. There is a $25-$40 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
Tommy Femia, the 7-time MAC Award-winning impersonator, continues with more of his 20th season at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) with his acclaimed portrayal of the legendary Judy Garland in "JUDY GARLAND LIVE!" with two shows a month, every other Saturday at 8:30 pm. Miss Garland's guest for Saturday, July 10th is Jenna Easpoito. Christopher Denny and David Maiocco serve as musical directors. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Cabaret/jazz vocalist Richard Malavet brings his new show, The Billy Eckstine Project, Songs in the Key of "B" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Thursday, July 8th at 9:45 pm and Saturday, July 10th at 7:30 pm and. Musical director is John Di Martino. The show reveals the untold story of one of America's iconic heartthrobs. Malavet has been crooning audiences with his silky baritone voice, performing at such notable cabaret venues as Don't Tell Mama's, Eighty Eights, Judy's Chelsea, Danny's Skylight Room Cabaret, Mama Rose's and The Encore. His 2001 cabaret show, "The Right to Love" was held over twice and was a hit with audiences and critics alike. Currently, Richard recorded his self-released CD debut entitled "Who Can Say What Love Is?", featuring a dynamic and eclectic suite of songs by legendary songwriters/composers Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne, Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Leonard Bernstein, Oscar Hammerstein II and Jerome Kern, as well as songs by the inimitable R&B / pop innovator Ray Charles, acclaimed composer/conductor Lalo Schifrin and newcomer Ben Moore.
