The new season of the Tudor City Greens FREE outdoor concert series resumes on Wednesday, June 22nd at 6:30 pm (Rain date: Thursday, June 23rd at 6:00 pm) at TUDOR CITY GREENS OARK (enter at Tudor City Place between East 42nd and East 43rd Streets). This event will feature professional performers from Broadway and the New York City cabaret and jazz scene, who all donate their time and talent to benefit the Parks. The concert will be hosted by Tudor City resident, Broadway and cabaret performer Raissa Katona Bennett (Phantom of the Opera, Chess). The guest stars on June 22nd include Australia's Variety Performer of the year Darren Williams; Broadway actor James Moye ("Million Dollar Quartet"); cabaret sensations Will and Anthony Nunziata; MAC and Bistro Award winner Marieann Meringolo; Barbara Porteus and Barry Levitt; Bistro Award winner Janice Hall, and Adam Shapiro ("Jewsical"). Also featured are the new series regulars – the MAC Award-winning guitarist and Windham Hill recording artist Sean Harkness, and the MAC & Bistro Award-winning big band innovator Terese Geneco. Serving as music directors are Kenneth Gartman, Doyle Newmyer and Bill Zeffiro.
After a hiatus of almost six years, followed by 5 sold-out shows in March, tenors Bill Brooks, Edd Clark, Steven Tharp, and musical director Paul Stephan are returning to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with 3 TENORS ... IN SEARCH OF AN ACT 2 for two additional performances on Tuesday, June 21st and Friday, June 24th, both shows at 9:15 pm. It's a new show packed with the same wicked, smart, and uplifting material that made their Bistro Award winning show 3 Tenors ... in Search of an Act, so successful. With musical director and arranger Paul Stephan, and using a mix of opera, operetta, pop and musical theatre, these tenors found their own voice. The new show features the same unique blend of harmony and humor, with new songs and maybe some old favorites. There is a $15 cover plus 2-drink minimum. $10 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
