NYC: ANGELA SHULTZ RETURNS WITH "DO OVERS"
MEMBER DISCOUNT - $5 OFF THE COVER

In a return engagement, NYC cabaret artist Angela Shultz takes the stage with her 2011 show about the roads we did and did not take in "Do Overs"on Monday, February 27th at 9:15pm, at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788). We all know what it's like to wish we could have a second chance. Why do some get a do over and some do not? What would you do differently the second time around? What if what you think you want isn't really better? These questions are expressed by Angela Shultz, 2010 MAC Hanson Award winner through the songs of Sondheim, Coleman, Yeston, Brett Kristofferson, Rascal Flatts and many more. MAC and Bistro Award winning songwriter Brett Kristofferson will serve as the show's musical director. MAC, Bistro and Nightlife Award winner Lennie Watts directs. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $10 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
I saw this show last year, and loved it. Each song is delivered with a "wink and a smile" and Ms. Shultz and her musical director, Brett Kristofferson, are a perfectly tuned pair!
Angela Shultz is a member of the cast of star performers appearing in CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE's MARCH IS CABARET MONTH GALA on February 29th. Unfortunately, Brett is serving as the musical director for a local high-school musical and can't make it.

NYC: JANICE HALL IN NEW SHOW AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
MEMBER DISCOUNT - $5 OFF THE COVER

Janice Hall, internationally renowned opera singer and 2011 Bistro Award winner, is presenting her new show, I'd Rather Be Doing This ..., at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for two more performances, Monday, March 5th at 7:00 pm; and Wednesday, April 18th at 9:30 pm. In I'd Rather Be Doing This ... , Janice takes the audience on a tour of her favorite things, places, and composers, presenting fresh and imaginative renditions of songs that range from the sophistication of Cole Porter and Cy Coleman to the raw emotion of Piaf's "L'Accordeoniste" and the taut drama of Kurt Weill. In addition, Janice premieres the deliciously risque title song written especially for her by her musical director, Matthew Martin Ward, with lyrics by her director, Peter Napolitano. The show is a winning combination of wit, wisdom, and seriously beautiful singing, by a world-class performer who is as at home in the world of cabaret as she has been on the international opera stage. I'd Rather Be Doing This... also features Tony Romanoon guitar. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
I shall always remember Janice's debut show a few years ago - stunning vocals and an exquisite performance. My friend Daniel and I actually did a "high-five" when we hit the sidewalk - our own version of "two thumbs up." Her shows since continually captivate me!

NYC: JACKIE WILL HAVE YOU SEEING STARS AT THE BEECHMAN
MEMBER DISCOUNT - $3 OFF THE COVER

Jackie Draper returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ) on Sunday, March 4th at 4:00 pm and Friday, March 9th at 7:00 pm with her new show, "Seeing Stars". The show is a musical and philosophical blast through a celestial universe of sparkling songs in English, French, and Spanish. Luminary composers/lyricists include Aznavour, Becaud , the Bergmans, Bricusse, Coleman, Comden & Green, Dorough, Ellington, Landesman, Legrand, Mandel, Sondheim. There will be singing (and, yes, dancing) with the stars. Jackie soars once again with the support of her stellar team: Director Helen Baldassare; Music DirectorGregory Toroian at the piano; Ritt Henn on bass; Robbyn Tongue on woodwinds; and special guest Franklin Ayala on percussion (and with toes twinkling). There is an $18 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
Jackie Draper is one of the most amazing performers in cabaret! Just about every year she's back with a new show - each one is different, yet every one is exquisitely performed and excitingly refreshing. I've been to so many of her shows I almost feel like family! Try to make the brunch show on the 4th - and then see her in an evening show. They are actually slightly different because the audiences, coming into the room from a different perspective, are slightly different. Of course, credit must be shared with her director Helen Baldassare and band led by musical director Gregory Toroian
