CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: BROOKE DAVIS IN I'M SO SORRY ... FOR EVERYTHING
Brooke Davis is ready to say she's sorry ... for everything. And she's set to reveal her remorse in the New York City spotlight with a debut cabaret performance at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Monday, October 7th at 7:00 pm. Davis has spent her life involved in the arts as a performer, producer, educator and advocate. An unwavering desire to expand her professional career and perform in New York City simmered quietly on the back burner while happily running carpools, bake sales and getting dinner on the table for her two kids, Sarah & Jake, and husband Barry. Now it's Davis' turn to shine. In 2006, her dreams of pursuing a professional, post-suburban career took off when she landed a role in the huge commercial success, "Menopause the Musical." Davis performed in several productions as Earth Mother, including long-standing runs in St. Louis, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, New York and Providence. In 2009, Davis took an ambitious leap and moved to NYC. Since then she has appeared in Law & Order, One Life to Live, several theatre projects and most recently shared the big screen with Emma Stone and Kierin Culkin in MOVIE 43. "I'm so sorry ... for everything" is a glimpse of a life that's come full circle, from theatre geek to suburban mom to big city working actor. Musical Director Darren R. Cohen leads Davis on a journey that explores a variety of genres from pop, rock, and country to standards and musical theatre. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
