NYC: 11 O'CLOCK NUMBERS AT 11 O'CLOCK AT FEINSTEIN'S

FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095), in association with producer Scott Siegel, continues its "11 O'Clock Numbers at 11 O'Clock!" revue on Thursday nights, starting September 15th at 11:00 pm. The show highlights the music that has galvanized Broadway audiences from the 1930s right through to the present and it stars Carole J. Bufford ("Broadway by the Year"), Scott Coulter ("The Stephen Schwartz Show") and Christina Bianco (Newsical the Musical). The show is directed by Scott Coulter, with John Fischer serving as Musical Director. There is a $15-$25 cover plus a 1-drink minimum.

NYC: PRE-BROADWAY CONCERT OF A CRUISE LINE AT DON'T TELL MAMA

A concert of new songs from the upcoming musical, A Cruise Line, composed by Rick Knight and directed by Spider Duncan Christopher, will be performed at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 ) in September. There are nine performances: Thursday & Friday, September 1st & 2nd; Tuesday, September 6th; Friday, September 9th; and Wednesday through Friday, September 13th through 15th. All shows are at 9:15 pm plus two special memorial shows will be presented on Sunday, September 11th and Monday, September 12th, both at 7:00 pm. A CRUISE LINE's concert will include 16 songs performed by an ethnically and culturally diverse ensemble cast of 11 which represents the diversity of the characters of the show and which includes Andi Bohs, Joe Dawson, Lisa Deane, Ken Gartman, Drew Hale, Ryan Hartman, Howah Hung, Dana Hunter, Michael Kours, Liz McKendry, Jody Mullen, Zal Owen, Andrew Pacho, Ross Pivec, Yolanda Robinson, Marshall Simon, and Cedric Yau. All of the stories swirl around each other as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches. It's a dramatic comedy that presents a message described as every bit as paradigm shifting as Hair and Rent. The show's tag line is "Once you connect the dots, you can color outside the lines." Knight and Christopher regard it as further Aquarian Age study of how humanity is evolving. Proceeds from the September 11th and 12th shows will go to selected foundations helping the victims and families of 9/11 First Responders. After the cabaret concert finishes with its final performance on Friday, September 16, Knight and Christopher will be working on a full production of the show in 2012. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

As usual, Teresa has assembled an entertaining and eclectic array of songs from standards by Irving Berlin and Frank Loesser to pop tunes from Lieber & Stoller, Carole King and Mary Chapin Carpenter plus some little-known musical gems. Cabaret veteran Paul Chamlin is the musical director and one-man band for this fun evening which features special musical arrangements by Andrew Sotomayor and James Logan - missing this show would be a crime! MAC Award-winning vocalist and Broadway performer Eric Michael Gillett brings his acclaimed show "Cast of Thousands" featuring the music of Craig Carnelia, to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Wednesdays, October 14th & 21st both shows at 7:00 pm. Eric is considered by many to be the foremost interpreter of this Broadway and cabaret composer's intricate and moving portraits of contemporary life. Cast of Thousands weaves a rich tapestry of song, as Gillett enacts the lives of the thousands of people with whom we interact every day, but may never come to know. Now, 15 years after it was first performed, Gillett returns to the material that inspired his first songbook collaboration, in an evening that explores not only songs from the original production, but also new material written by Carnelia in the intervening years. Sally Kellerman, the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominated actress and singer who created the infamous role of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" O'Houlihan in Robert Altman's classic film, "M*A*SH," will appear as a vocalist in her show, SALLY KELLERMAN - "Back By Request," with Pianist/Music Director, Andy Langham, on Monday, September 12th at 8:00 pm atVITELLO'S (4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-754-8700). The actress has amassed an impressive Resume of hundreds of memorable feature film, television and theatre credits. She began her television career appearing on "Outer Limits." Other television appearances include roles on the Pilot Episode of "Star Trek" and in episodes of "Kraft Suspense Theatre" and "Bob Hope Presents The Chrysler Theatre." She has starred in "Back To School," opposite Rodney Dangerfield, "Big Blonde" and "Boynton Beach Club." Kellerman's film work includes starring roles in the movies the "Last of The Red Hot Lovers," "Slither," "Foxes" and "A Little Romance." She has been doing voiceover work for over 30 years for clients like Hidden Valley Salad Dressing and Milky Way, and everything in between. The main source of her passion besides her family and film career is her love of music and singing, which she has been doing since she was a child. Under contract with Verve Records at the age of 18, Kellerman has been blessed with a signature voice and style as well as an uncanny ability to make a song her own. For his work for the theater, he and his principal collaborator, Robert L. Freedman, won both the Kleban Award for Lyric Writing, and the Fred Ebb Songwriting Award and in the same year.
