CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: LOIS ROBBINS DEBUTS ONE WOMAN CABARET SHOW
In her all-new cabaret act "Lessons from Lois" AT 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) Lois Robbins will present a delightful musical evening of intimate and irreverent. The performances is on Thursday, October 10th at 7:00 pm. The show is directed by Mark Waldrop (Bea Arthur on Broadway), with musical direction by John Oddo (Cheek to Cheek: Cook and Feinstein). Ms. Robbins passes along some hard won (and often hilarious) wisdom through personal stories and a wildly eclectic set of songs by Stephen Sondheim, Sammy Cahn, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Dave Frishberg, David Friedman, Amanda McBroom, and many more. A native New Yorker, Lois Robbins is no stranger to the stage. She starred in two world premiere musical comedies: My History of Marriage by Academy Award and two-time Grammy winner David Shire and Lee and Samuel Kalcheim and A Time for Love by Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr. There is a $45-$55 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
