CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: SHARON HUNTER AND HER 70's MEN
Sharon Hunter sings the songs written and sung by the men of the 70's .. as only a woman can at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00 pm. Songs by Neil Diamond, Paul Simon, John Denver, Barry Manilow, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, The Eagles and more. The show, "Sharon Hunter ... and Her 70's Men", which premiered this summer at "Don't Tell Mama" to critical raves and audience acclaim, will be recorded before she heads into the studio to complete her premiere CD scheduled for release in early 2014. Inspired by her friend and cabaret mentor, the incandescent Miss Julie Wilson, and using the talents she developed and perfected at The Circle in the Square Theatre School and the Yale University Cabaret Conference, the evening will be filled with song that promises to make for a truly memorable evening in the world of musical cabaret! Musical director is Barry Levitt. with Howie Gordon on drums and Jeff Ganz on bass. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
