FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel(540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - ) presents "THE BROADWAY BALLYHOO," a weekly show now in it's 9th month, produced, created and hosted by Scott Siegel in an open-ended run on Thursdays at 11:00 pm. Jesse Kissel serves as Musical Director. THE BROADWAY HOOTENANY will offer approximately four different stars each week who will sing Broadway's greatest songs. In a remarkable paring down of his own Ryan Greer Jazz Group, acclaimed for its reinvention of the Great American Songbook, vocalist Ryan Greer teams with bandmate John Feliciano on upright bass for a standard-bending collaboration between voice and bass at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Thursday, October 11th at 9:30 pm. Ryan and John spark a solid chemistry with their imaginative interplay on classic jazz compositions. This premiere set freshly takes on legendary tunesmiths like Richard Rodgers and Billy Strayhorn, as well as modern greats like Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, as the duo elevates the musical exchange to near-clairvoyant jam session. Greer is a self-producing artist in New York City whose body of work spans theater, dance and music all rooted in jazz. Known as a director- choreographer, Ryan finds creative catharsis as a vocalist and bandleader. John Feliciano plays on both upright and electric bass in a variety of styles for several bands in New York City. He studied jazz at the University of Rhode Island before graduating from the renowned jazz program at SUNY Purchase, mentoring with a number of musicians including David Ruffels, Kermit Driscoll and Todd Coolman. He is an original member of the Ryan Greer Jazz Group. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
Vocalist Vickie Phillips returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) on Thursday, October 11th at 7:30 pm with her acclaimed show "ANOTHER HOUR... ANOTHER DAY... ANOTHER SONG". The show is an electic musical program that features varied composers, including Maltby & Shire, Tom Paxton, Randy Newman, Arthur Freed, Nacio Brown, Leiber & Stoller, Tom Paxton, Irving Berlin, Craig Carnellia, Bob Ost and others. Romance, comedy and original selections fill Vickie's program, with a few surprise political zingers as well. Singer/actor Andrea Marcovicci brings her new show "Smile" to THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) Tuesdays through Saturdays, October 2nd through 27th at 8:45 pm pm, with late shows on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. She will be accompanied by her musical director Shelly Markham, with Jered Egan on bass and Jack Cavari on guitar. For over twenty-five years Andrea has watched her audiences thrill to the strains of their most beloved songs. There are certain songs that will always lift your spirits. This is a show about bringing people together - an antidote for the election jitters! There is a $75 cover Tuesdays through Thursdays and $85 Fridays & Saturdays.

Music Director/Accompanist for these special shows is Russ Kassoff. Special Guest is Marcus Simeone. With this tribute to her mentor, Michel Lagrand, Laury Shelley says Thank You to the maestro, now celebrating his 80th birthday year, with this special show. Laury Shelley started her career as vocal soloist with Michel Legrand touring in the U.S.A. During these amazing years, Laury made her debut at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, while also appearing at The Sahara Hotel in Vegas, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Miami's Stars Under The Stars Concert Series at Marine Stadium and The Westbury Theatre in New York. Laury has shared stages with Tony Bennett, Buddy Rich, Cleo Laine and John Dankworth while also performing and recording with Phil Woods, Ron Carter, Grady Tate, Randy Brecker, Marvin Strum and Joe Beck. Concentrating on songs that she performed with Legrand and some obscure selections, Laury will share her favorite stories of this time, but mostly the music, of Michel Legrand. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
Jim Speake brings his brand new show "Sings 'till the Cors Come Home" toDON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 ) on Saturdays, September 22nd & 29th at 5:00 pm and Wednesdays, October 3rd & 10th at 7:00 pm. Singing songs written by Kander and Ebb, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Cy Coleman, Barry Manilow, Stephen Bishop, Gilda Radner, Neil Sedaka, Peter Allen, Billy Joel, Dale Evans and Stephen Sondheim, Jim illustrates life experiences both serious and comic. Lennie Watts directs, with musical direction by Steven Ray Watkins with the Cow Band. The inimitable Sidney Myer will make a special appearance. Carol Shedlin returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with her new show "Shall We Dance", with long time musical director Jon Delfin, with Saadi Zain on bass. The show is directed by Aaron Morishita. Performances are scheduled for Tuesday, October 9th; Monday, October 15th; Thursday, October 25th; Monday, November 12th And Thursday, November 15th, all shows at 7:00 pm. "Shall We Dance" is about how dance music and dancing impacted on Carol's life. Carol sings and shares intriguing anecdotes about magical encounters - some simply brief brushes, others life-long friendships - which enriched her journey from bookworm to cabaret singer.
