CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: MISTY ROWE PREMIERES NEW REVUE AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Television and film actress and singer Misty Rowe makes a rare New York stage appearance as she premieres a brand new club act, "Blondes STILL Have More Fun," at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, October 4th, 5th & 6th at 7:00 pm, with an additional show on Saturday, at 9:30 pm. Widely recognized in the 70's and 80's for her roles on Hee Haw, Happy Days and Mel Brooks' When Things Were Rotten, Rowe makes her well-reasoned case for blonde hegemony in a revue filled with country-tinged folk, rock and pop that makes hay of her 40+ years in show business. Joining Rowe is the actress and singer Cindy Summers. The two have co-starred frequently in "Always - Patsy Cline," a jukebox play filled with Patsy Cline hits which has crisscrossed the country for the past ten years. Music director is Michael Sansonia (Broadway's "Pump Boys and Dinettes" among others) leading a four-piece band. There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
