CABARET TONIGHT IN L.A.: KRITZERLAND: THE STORY GOES ON: MALTBY AND SHIRE

Kritzerland Upstairs at Sterling's presents "THE STORY GOES ON: The Songs of Richard Maltby & David Shire" on Monday, October 7th at 8:00 pm atSTERLING'S AT THE FEDERAL (5303 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA - 818-754-8700). As always, the cast includes some of the best voices in town, including Heather Barr (Broadway Nat'l Tours: Peter Pan, Cinderella; Seussical; Theatre 40, Tanglin' Hearts; The Satin Dollz); Will Collyer (Big, The Musical, Ovation nominee; Parade, Mark Taper Forum; Hair, Reprise; MTG's One Touch of Venus); Heather Lee: (Broadway: Gypsy, with Bernadette Peters; Guys and Dolls, Adelaide; Beauty and the Beast, Annie Get Your Gun); Ashley Fox Linton (Baby, No. Coast Rep; Broadway/Nat'l: Les Miserables, Cosette; Wicked, Ness/Swing; MTW, Sunset Blvd.); John Sloman: (Broadway: Revival Music Man; TV: Passion, PBS; Mad Men-Raymond "Heinz" Geiger; OutsideThe Box Chinatown); Shannon Warne (Maria, Sound of Music; Nat'l Tour: Camelot; NoHo Arts, Having It All -Ovation Award; Florence, Chess). Special Guest: Terri White. Music Director: John Boswell. The 38th Kritzerland show is devoted to the incredible songs of Maltby and Shire. For Broadway, they've written the musicals Baby and Big (and Maltby provided the English lyrics for Miss Saigon), and there have been two major off-Broadways revues of their work, Starting Here, Starting Now and Closer than Ever. Their latest musical, Take Flight, took flight in London a few years ago. Cover charge is $28 with includes a $10 food/drink allowance. Reservations required.
