HOTLINE MEMBER CABARET EVENT TONIGHT IN NYC: LAURIE KRAUZ'S JAZZ SOUP AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
On Tuesday, November 11th, Laurie Krauz & Daryl Kojak will launch Laurie Krauz's Jazz Soup at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). The show promises to be a fun, eclectic, mix featuring some of the most exciting jazz artists around. The first show of the series will be in honor of Sheila Jordan, in conjunction with the release of Jazz Child: A Portrait of Sheila Jordan by Ellen Johnson (the first complete biography of this legendary singer's life). Sheila will be serenaded by some of her favorite vocalists (including Kevin Fitzgerald Burke, Jay Clayton and Tessa Souter!) and hopefully Sheila might be persuaded to sing a few songs, Accompanied by the Daryl Kojak Trio (Daryl Kojak, piano; Cameron Brown, bass; Dwayne 'Cook' Broadnax, drums). There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
