NYC: KAREN OBERLIN & SEAN HARKNESS AT PANGEA
Karen Oberlin and Sean Harkness reunite at New York's exquisite new venue: CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Fridays & Saturdays, November 7th & 8th and 14th & 15th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. The pair won rave reviews when they performed at 54 BELOW and THE METROPOLITAN ROOM, and now they've added some new tunes to match the great food and ambiance of this new East Village boite. NYC: JAMIE deROY & FRIENDS AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy presents another edition of her Multi MAC award-winning Variety Show, Jamie deRoy & friends, at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, November 15th at 7:00 pm. On the roster for the evening will be Deborah Abramson and Amanda Yesnowitz (2014 Winner of the ASCAP Foundation Jamie deRoy & friends Songwriting Award); musician and composer Daniel Cainer (Jewish Chronicles); popular comic Jim Mendrinos (Launch TV/Living in Exile); The Shapiro Sisters: Milly Shapiro (Tony Honoree: Matilda, The Musical) and Abigail Shapiro (Liberty, How The Grinch Stole Christmas); and Jazz singer Iris Williams, O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire). Award-winning director Barry Kleinbort will direct and acclaimed composer/arranger Ron Abel will serve as musical director along with Tom Hubbard on bass. The colorful cabaret series, which has been thrilling New York City audiences for the past 24 years and serves as the basis for deRoy's award-winning cable television show, spotlights a wide variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret, theater, and comedy worlds. There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA' S
Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, November 1st, 15th, & 29th at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". There is a $25 cover charge and a 2 drink minimum.
MANHATTAN: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN
NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In its ninth year, Le Scandal features variety acts, circus performers, live music and a bevy of burlesque beauties. New performers every week! Expect sword swallowers, belly dancers, rope trick cowboys, contortionists, torch singing fan dancers and comedic aerobats, all set to the live music of the Le Scandal Orchestra. NYC: KRITZERLAND AT STAGE 72
Kritzerland presents 'Supercalifragilistic expialidocious! The Songs of The Sherman Brothers' at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Saturday, November 15th with performances at 7:00 & 9:00 pm. Kritzerland's first New York show is an encore of their 39th Los Angeles Kritzerland show. Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman are the men repsonsible for making some of the most beloved, well known and iconic songs ever written, from pop to film to stage. The award-winning songwriting brothers' songs have been delighting entire generations since the 1950s, and whether you were around then and discovering their songs when they were new, or if you were born in any subsequent decade, the Sherman Brothers songs were most assuredly part of your life. From their first pop hit, "Tall Paul" to their songs for The Parent Trap, they were Walt Disney's favorite songwriters and there was no question he would entrust the songs for his magnum opus to them: Mary Poppins. Appearing in the cast are Sarah Uriarte Berry, Dan Callaway, Evan Buckley Harris, Lisa Livesay Madison, Claire Parks, Hadley Miller, Jenna Lea Rosen, Sami Staitman. Special Guest: Richard Sherman. NYC: PATTI LUPONE - FAR AWAY PLACES PART TWO
Two-time Tony Award winner and 54 Below favorite Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday through Thursday, November 3rd through 6th; Saturday, November 8th; Monday through Saturday, November 10th through 15th, all shows at 7:00 pm; There is an additional show added on Saturday, November 15th at 9:30 pm. She will present 'Part Two of Far Away Places', the show which she premiered to critical acclaim when 54 Below opened in June 2012. In this continuation of the show (which will include a few encores from the landmark Part One) she further explores her wanderlust, performing songs by an eclectic group of songwriters including Irving Caesar, Billy Joel, David Yazbek, Johnny Mercer and Kris Kristofferson. There is an $85-$160 cover plus a $30 food/drink minimum.

Alexander Sage Oyen's A Night Like This is sharp, emotional, and ready for its New York premiere within an intimate concert setting at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, November 15th at 11:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Series. Nothing changes. Katie, Dan, and Ryan were inseparable in high school, but things fell apart. After four years of radio silence, the three return to their hometown for a friend's funeral- a confrontation is unavoidable. Will the past stay past? Will the dead stay dead?
