WASHINGTON, DC: VERONNEAU AT BLUES ALLEY
The international acoustic quartet Veronneau will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Wednesday, November 12th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Since their 2010 launch, Veronneau has delighted audiences in North America, Europe and beyond with their world jazz and pop. Two recent albums landed them high on radio and Internet listening charts and won fans from over 100 countries. French Canadian vocalist Lynn Veronneau lights up the stage with her engaging presence and moving interpretations. The acoustic guitars of Ken Avis and David Rosenblatt and percussion of Pete Walby lend rhythm, harmony and energy to satisfying sets of samba, bossa nova, gypsy jazz and swing. There is a $20 cover.
