NEW HOPE, PA: POPPY CHAMPLIN & JESSICA KIRSON "ALL HAIL THE QUEENS OF QOMEDY"

Poppy Champlin & Jessica Kirson bring their show "All Hail The Queens Of Qomedy" to THE RRAZZ ROOM IN NEW HOPE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 888-596-1027 - ) on Saturday, November 15th at 8:00 pm. This all-lesbian, double-threat comedy show features host and producer Poppy Champlin (Two LOGO Comedy Specials, Oprah, Showtime) along with special guest Jessica Kirson (Last Comic Standing, Celebrity Apprentice) . After a sold-out March appearance at The RRazz Room New Hope, the Queer Queens are on a roll, and return for an encore performance. Call for cover/minimum information.

WASHINGTON, DC: ELIANE ELIAS AT BLUES ALLEY

Elaine Elias will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141)on Thursday through Sunday, November 13th through 16th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Elias is known for her distinctive and immediately recognizable musical style which blends her Brazilian roots and sensuous, alluring voice with impressive instrumental jazz, classical and compositional skills. With 23 albums to date demonstrating her unique gifts as a pianist, singer, composer and arranger as well as melding her immense talents in jazz, pop, classical and Brazilian music. There's no question about it: Five time GRAMMY Award Nominee, four time Gold Disc Award recipient and three time winner of Best Vocal Album in Japan, #1 artist in sales and radio airplay in France, with all recordings reaching top five on Billboard's jazz chart, jazz radio charts and iTunes to name just a few of the accolades, Eliane Elias has taken her place in the pantheon of music giants. WASHINGTON, DC: DERRICK HODGE AT BOHEMIAN CAVERNS

Derrick Hodge will perform at BOHEMIAN CAVERNS (2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800) on Friday & Saturday, November 14th & 15th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Hodge is perhaps best known as the anchor of the genre-bending, GRAMMY award-winning band Robert Glasper Experiment, but he has also spent time in the cutting-edge jazz trumpeter Terence Blanchard's group, and is currently the music director for the R&B star Maxwell. He has been in demand as a producer and musician with artist like Maxwell, Common, Floetry, Terence Blanchard, Q-Tip, Jill Scott, and many more. Live Today weaves together a distinctive musical vision from 14 stylistically diverse originals either written or co-written by Hodge that traverse modern jazz, hip-hop, R&B, gospel, and acoustic folk. The album features guest appearances from rapper Common, singer-guitarist Alan Hampton, as well as RGE members Robert Glasper, vocoderist Casey Benjamin, and drummers Mark Colenburg and Chris Dave, in addition to keyboardists James Poyser and Aaron Parks, saxophonist Marcus Strickland, trumpeter Keyon Harrold, and the American String Quartet, among others. There is a $25 cover. 

BETHESDA, MD: THE CHAD MITCHELL TRIO FAREWELL CONCERT

Chad Mitchell Trio will perform their farewell concert at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB(7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Saturday, November 15th at 7:00 pm. Best known during the early 1960s for their powerful vocals, lovely harmonies and songs often more topical, satirical and politically biting than other folk groups of the era, the Chad Mitchell Trio developed a loyal following, particularly on college campuses. They appeared on many TV shows including "Hootenanny" and the "Ed Sullivan Show." In 1965, Chad Mitchell left the group and was replaced by a then unknown singer by the name of John Denver. Chad Mitchell, Mike Kobluk and Joe Frazier reunited for in 1986 and have performed frequently since then. With Joe's passing in March, the trio has decided to conclude their performing career with this concert. Ron Greenstein will join Chad and Mike for this very special show. Some surprise guests will join in this celebration, including local favorites, Side by Side.

PALM BEACH, FL: COPELAND DAVIS AT THE ROYAL ROOM

Copeland Davis will perform at THE ROYAL ROOM at THE COLONY HOTEL (155 Hammond Avenue, Palm Beach, FL - 561-659-8100) on Saturdays, November 8th, 15th, & 22nd - all shows at 8:00 pm. Whether it is solo piano, a combo or teamed with a full orchestra, Copeland Davis resounds with a stage presence that make every performance a magical musical experience. Combining his vast musical skills with a special brand of showmanship taught to him by the late great Cholly Atkins, he electrifies audiences everywhere. A standing ovation was the audience response when Copeland made his national TV debut on the "Tonight Show." He has appeared twice on "Good Morning America," had his own Emmy nominated PBS television special and has appeared on a variety of national and local television programs.
