Vocalist Marnie Klar returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, October 15th at 7:00 pm and Wednesday, November 12th at 9:30 pm. The show features songs by The Bird & the Bee, Five for Fighting, Imagine Dragons, Led Zeppelin, the Lumineers, Ingrid Michaelson, Kylie Minogue, Sam Phillips, Regina Spektor & The White Stripes. Musical director is Steven Ray Watkins, with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Terese Genecco on percussion. Directed by Tanya Moberly. NYC: DARYL SHERMAN RETURNS TO DON'T TELL MAMA
Daryl Sherman returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, November 12th and Saturday, November 29th, both shows at 7:00 pm. For 14 years Ms. Sherman played and sang for savvy New Yorkers and international visitors at the Waldorf Astoria's famed Cole Porter Steinway. Last June, she headlined the annual Cole Porter Festival in his hometown of Peru, IN. Sherman has performed at The Algonquin's Oak Room, Feinstein's, Rose Hall with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Dizzy's Coca Cola and 59E59 Theaters where she was lauded for her band singer role in a centennial tribute to Artie Shaw. As a sparkling mainstay of Manhattan's nightlife, there's hardly jazz joint, supper club, Chinese restaurant or hotel that Daryl has missed. Her many recordings are in regular national rotation on Cable TV's Music Choice and Sirius/XM Radio. She was presented the 2010 MAC Award "Best Major Recording" for her Johnny Mercer Centennial CD - which was used in a Mercer documentary produced by Clint Eastwood. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CHRIS BARRETT AT THE PIANO ON RESTAURANT ROW
Chris Barrett performs at LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE(313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) where he is at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays in an open-ended run. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. Every second Wednesday of the month Leslie Holmes hosts an amazing Open Mic night at the AMAZING THINGS ARTS CENTER(160 Hollis Street, Framingham, MA - 508-405-2787), and each show features a special guest. On Wednesday, November 12th the featured guest will be singer/pianist Steve Heck. Steve will also be accompanist for the open-mic section of the evening. Steve Heck is a professor at "Berklee College Of Music " where he has a room named after him at the school. It is called the "Steve Heck Room." Steve plays and teaches private lessons in the Boston area. He has performed with "Richie Havens", the famous rock band, "The Birds" and with jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson. BOSTON: SHEPLEY METCALF AT SCULLERS
Shepley Metcalf and Ron Roy will appear at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB(400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) on Wednesday, November 12th at 8:00 pm. Their new show "Going Places' depicts extraordinary destinations and conjures yearnings, memories and laughter with music by Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim, DIzzy Gillespie, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and more. Performing together since 2008, the duo just released their new album "Don't Bother to Knock," which features little-known jazz gems from the 1930s to '50s. Call for cover/minimum information.
