The 92nd ST Y (1395 Lexington Avenue, NYC - 212-415-5500) presents JAZZ IN JULY, running from Tuesday, July 22nd through Thursday, July 31st. Featuring the sounds of Hoagy Carmichael, Leonard Bernstein, Miles Davis, Dick Hyman, Sarah Vaughan and Fred Astaire. Celebrate Bill Charlap's 10th anniversary as Artistic Director as he returns with more than three dozen world-class jazz artists to celebrate the 30th annual Jazz in July Festival. What better reason to stay in the city for the summer than to hear Jazz in July founder Dick Hyman plus beloved jazz greats Jimmy Greene, Jeremy Pelt, Ken Peplowski and more! Fred Astaire proved to be a jazz master, using his innate sense of rhythm and swing to collaborate with songwriting legends. The show on Thursday, July 31st features Sachal Vasandani, Ken Peplowski, Michael Dease, Bucky Pizzarelli, Renee Rosnes, Bill Charlap, George Mraz, Carl Allen, Randy Skinner.
