Juvon Malone will perform atTHE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Thursday, July 31st at 9:00 pm. Juvon grew up in the theater and began entertaining professionally himself when at the age of 17 he signed an independent record deal with Cameron Records. Away from the business for about 10 years now, save for hosting a few local events and shows, he returns to the spotlight with "Juvon & Wyld Bunch of Friends," serving up an "entertaining gumbo of fun," with R & B, soul, comedy, a live band, poetry, and hip hop. Matthew Curry plus The Daniel Castro Band take the stage at YOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600 - ) on Thursday, July 31st at 8:00 pm. Already a veteran performer at 19 years old, Matthew has played with the Blues greats since the start - jamming regularly with Tommy Castro, Bernard Allison, Bryan Lee, and Ronnie Baker Brooks. Matthew Curry's first CD, "If I Don't Got You" received high marks in the IBC, and the International Songwriting Competition. Matthew was also one of five international finalists in Ampeg's "Straight-Up Tone" competition. Matthew has played major summer festivals included the Chicago Blues Festival, Blues, Brews & BBQ's (Champaign, IL) the Merchant Street Music Festival (Kankakee, IL) Mississippi Valley Blues Festival (Davenport, IA) Prairie Dog Blues Festival (Prairie du Chien, WI) the Ride Festival (Telluride, CO) and the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, AR. Matthew Curry is a 2013 inductee into the prestigious Brotherhood of the Guitar sponsored by Guitar Center, Ernie Ball, and Fender. There is a $14 cover.
