Celebrating Dexter Gordon on what would have been his 91st birthday, the great tenor saxophonist and Academy-Award nominee is remembered and honored by a world-class ensemble under the direction of Gordon's pianist and keeper of the flame, George Cables. Members of this group have extensive experience both playing with each other and with Dexter Gordon, making them ideal candidates to honor their friend and colleague on this special occasion. Featuring Gordon's compositions and favorite tunes, this will be an unforgettable night for fans of the late Dexter Gordon, and a perfect opportunity for the uninitiated to experience this iconic music.
