MANHATTAN: MARIE-CLAIRE AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Italian-Trained Opera Singer marie-claire will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, March 4th at 7:00 pm. Marie-Claire lives and breathes the musical genres of opera, jazz, hip-hop and reggae, making her one of the most adaptable artists of our day. Her recent engagements include singing the National Anthem for the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclay Center, performing standards with Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra in LA and she continues to appear at the Metropolitan Room in New York City. She has also spent time in front of the camera as a cast member on the second season of Chappelle's Show on Comedy Central and is currently auditioning for other roles on network TV as she works to expand her skills to acting. marie-claire also performed at the Central Park Summer Stage Lyricist Lounge for a crowd of 5,000 people with Black Moon's DJ Evil Dee and Doug E. Fresh who nicknamed her "The Queen," due to her astounding performance that gripped the crowd. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

MANHATTAN: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

MANHATTAN: ANNE BOBBY - THE SONGS THAT CAME IN FROM THE COLD

Celebrate the end of winter with Anne Bobby at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, March 4th at 7:00 pm as she shares stories never told and brings songs rarely (or barely) heard out of deep freeze, in her solo cabaret debut. Known for roles on TV ("Mad About You") and film ("Happiness"), Anne made her Broadway debut at 16, and a year later starred in Marvin Hamlisch's cult classic, Smile. Now she's gathered the discarded gems from thirty years of workshops, out-of-town tryouts and black-boxes • plus a few new favorites. It's a celebration of everyone from Alan Menken to Pete Townshend, Steven Lutvak to Neil Gaiman, Marc Blitzstein to Bruce Springsteen, as well as should-have-been-hits from Galt McDermott, David Spencer, Jimmy Roberts, Keith Herrmann, Daniel Mate and more. Join Anne (and very special guests) in welcoming spring, waking up old memories and making new ones. There is a $35-$45 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

MANHATTAN: GIA MORA BRINGS EINSTEIN'S GIRL TO JOE'S PUB

After sold out performances in DC and LA, nationally recognized actor and vocalist Gia Mora will perform her critically acclaimed solo show Einstein's Girl at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Tuesday, March 4th at 9:30 pm. Einstein's Girl explores the "science of love ... theoretically speaking." Mora turns her signature wit and intellectual prowess on an unlikely pair of human languages: love and theoretical physics. In her hilarious show, she investigates interpersonal relations in the digital age through song and story. Mora welcomes composer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Barnett on piano. Mora comes to Joe's Pub after releasing Einstein's Girl, The Album in November 2013. Gia Mora is a triple-threat performer and writer. Past solo performances include headlining at Metropolitan Room and Don't Tell Mama in New York, Room 5 and House of Blues in Los Angeles, Bethesda Blues & Jazz and Blues Alley in DC, and Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret in Denver. A frequent featured soloist, she has appeared at The Federal, Catalina Jazz Club, The Blind Barber (LA), and many more. She is a four-time Helen Hayes Award nominee, and her recent musical theatre credits include world premieres at the Academy for New Musical Theatre, Ford's Theatre, and the Kennedy Center. There is a $20 cover.

MANHATTAN: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
