HOTLINE MEMBER EVENT TODAY IN PALM SPRINGS, CA: PIAF TO MAMBO ITALIANO WITH MARIA ELENA INFANTINO IN PALM DESERT AT 2:00 PM
Italian born Maria Elena Infantino will make her debut appearance at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) in her critically acclaimed one-woman show, "From Piaf To Mambo Italian" on Sunday, July 20th at 2:00 pm. The performance is presented as part of Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Series.The show will have Maria Elena's uncanny portrayal of French singing sensation Edith Piaf for the first half and then she switches it up with hit songs from the 50's and 60's from her native Italy, joined by local musical director Joel Baker on the baby grand piano. Ms. Infantino's singing and acting credits are long and extensive, with much of her success performing in concerts, film, and television in her hometown of London, England, where she has lived since the age of 18, but often travels throughout Europe and the US to perform. Classically trained in opera, she followed in her parent's footsteps, both opera singers, her father is famed tenor Luigi Infantino. There is an $11 cash cover.
