NYC: BROADWAY SINGS AT THE WEST END - THURSDAYS

A New Open mic night has begun hosted by Sarah Rice & Craig Pomranz on the Upper West Side! BROADWAY SINGS AT THE WEST END will be held every Thursday night (it started on May 1st) at THEWEST END (955 West End Avenue, NYC - 212-531-4759) from 9:00 to 11:00 pm (signup after 8:30 pm). Matthew Martin Ward will be at the piano. An open mic with multi-award winning hosts Sarah and Craig bring the ultimate New York experience to the Upper West Side with all kinds of talent singing all genres of music -Broadway, Pop, Jazz, Classical, all are welcomed. There will be a drawing at the end of the evening to get to sing another song and get a free cover for the following week. NYC: ALI GRIEB: SIN STOPS HERE

Ali Grieb brings his show "Sin Stops Here" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 - ) on Thursday, July 24th at 9:30 pm. Having never had a Bat Mitzvah, Confirmation, or even Sweet Sixteen, for that matter, Ali Grieb is no stranger to sin. Growing up in South Jersey before moving to South Georgia with her Jewish mother from the Bronx, Ali has always had a knack for finding herself in "situations". Well, the buck stops here! Be a witness as she hilariously recounts all of the ridiculously awkward moments that have gotten her to this point. All set to big band sounds, her creamy voice will take you on a trip back to a simpler time when the music was good, the drinks were strong, and the bad choices you made were just a vague memory from last night's binge! There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

"Every Thursday night, as the curtains fall on Broadway, Host Ben Cameron (from Broadway's Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and his crew of amazingly talented folks welcome a new Broadway star to perform at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) at 10:30 pm in this fun and zany musical theater variety show. Get up close and personal with Broadway's brightest as the stars bare their souls, interact with the crowd and celebrate all things BROADWAY. There is a $5 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

Two-time Tony Award winner and 54 Below favorite Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) with her critically-acclaimed show The Lady with A Torch on Monday, July 21st through Saturday, August 2nd (no show on Sunday, the 27th of July). Patti performs an eclectic collection of torch songs by such composers and lyricists as Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. Former child "star" and current NYC-based award-winning writer and performer Tim Realbuto (Ghostlight, The Emperor's Club) returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, July 24th at 9:30 pm in an all-new show entitled Tim Realbuto: Alone (With Plenty of Help). In this deeply personal, poignant and hilarious show, Tim will tell the mostly true story of how he grew up in show business and went from former child actor to the adult writer of the popular new Broadway-bound musical Ghostlight. Some of Tim's famous Broadway friends will help him along the way, playing different characters from his past and sometimes even playing Tim himself. You provide nouns, verbs, adjectives, desserts and body parts, and the cast provides the laughs - uncensored and unrehearsed - as it enacts the story using words you've put in their mouths. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," performed by some of the funniest people in New York!
