NYC: LYNN HENDERSON RETURNS TO THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Big band vocalist Lynn Henderson will return to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00 pm to celebrate the release of her new CD, If We Only Have Love. The album traces milestones in life and is available on her website www.lynnhendersonsinger.com and on iTunes. Pianist and award winning song writer Douglas J. Cohen will share vocals with Henderson and they will be accompanied by Robert Sabin on bass and Sherrie Maricle on drums. Henderson has been performing for audiences in New York and Connecticut for the past several years. She will be singing selections from 'The Great American Songbook" that are fun, heartbreaking and thoughtful. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

LONDON: OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE CRAZY COQS 

Harold Sanditen, jazz-cabaret singer and veteran theatre producer, is host of Open Mic Night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) every Thursday at 10:30 pm, ably supported by regular musicians Michael Roulston on piano and Jonty Fisher on bass. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.
