NYC: ROBIN'S NEST - A BENEFIT FOR HELPUSADOPT.COM
Robin Westle is hosting a benefit for Helpusadopt.org on Monday, November 17th at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). Directed by Eric Michael Gillett the show features Robin Westle (Host and Performer), Eric Michael Gillett (Director and Performer), Hilary Kole (Special Guest Star) and Sidney Jackson, Zach Landes, Olivia Lombardi, Jenny Mollet, and Charlie Stevens. Musical Director is Mike Pettry with Jacob Silver on Bass and Jonathan Kantor on Reeds. Helpusadopt.org is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) financial assistance grant program providing qualified couples and individuals with grants of up to $15,000 towards their domestic, international, foster, or special needs adoption expenses. A silent auction will be held at the event. You could win four nights at a Marriott timeshare at the Grand Vista in Orlando, with two bedrooms sleeping six to eight. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. Lee Lessack, John Boswell and Brian Lane Green bring their show '3 Men and a Baby... Grand!' to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday through Wednesday, November 17th through 19th at 7:00 pm.This versatile group has created several themed shows singing tributes to Broadway, Sinatra, Mercer, the fabulous 50s and 60s and just about every era in between. They sing from Gershwin to Gaga, it's Broadway... their way! Heather, Diane, and Julie are all very busy women, working in a number of projects and musical genres. Their repertoire ranges from Gershwin to Gaga, from Sondheim to Schwartz and virtually anything - and everything - in between. Singer/ Teacher/ Critic/ Director Kevin Scott Hall presents six singers from his intensive workshop at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, November 16th at 4:30 pm. Each performs a ten-minute set. Cast includes Letitia Adams, India Alexis, Nathan Johnson, Tina Owens, Carlos Pinero, and Claudia Rodriguez Tressler. Kenneth Gartner is musical director. NYC: CHASING THE DAY: THE MUSIC OF WILL VAN DYKE
54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) presents 'Chasing The Day: The Music Of Will Van Dyke' on Monday, November 17th with shows at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. Originally released as an album on Sh-K-Boom Records in October 2010, Chasing the Day has been reimagined as a song cycle about breaking up, breaking down, and breaking through, and will soon be available for theatrical licensing. Featuring four singers, Chasing the Day explores the best of Will Van Dyke's collaboration with co-lyricist Josh Halloway (Jimmy Kimmel Live!), as well as additional work with Randy Blair and Rick Elice. The evening will include all of the original tracks from the album, as well as all-new original material penned for the theatrical piece. Written on the road, aboard planes, across time zones, between sets, in hotel lobbies, at 24-hour coffee shops, miles apart, when the thought of home is your only companion - Chasing the Day is about the places life takes us and the people who bring us back. Starring Annaleigh Ashford, Matt Doyle, Tamika Lawrence and Preston Sadleir, directed by Kerry Whigham with musical direction by Dominick Amendum. There is a $30-70 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
