WASHINGTON, DC: JAMIE BROUMAS AT BLUES ALLEY
Jamie Broumas, one of Washington, D.C.'s leading jazz vocalists, will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141 - ) on Wednesday, November 19th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Jamie has performed at clubs, concert venues and festivals throughout the United States. Jamie began her career in the vibrant Washington jazz scene of the 1980s, where her talent was quickly recognized by many great players and singers, notably Shirley Horn, who was an invaluable teacher and mentor at the start of Jamie's career. A former member of the Grammy-nominated jazz vocal group, Rare Silk, she was also a founding member of the Washington, D.C.-based group, Mad Romance. There is a $25 cover.
