LONDON: OLIVIA STEVENS AT THE CRAZY COQS
Swedish-American singer/actress Olivia Stevens recalls 1930's Berlin in her show 'Pleasure And Peril, The Story Of Zarah Leander - The Biggest Star In Nazi Germany' at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Monday, November 17th at 8:00 pm. Accompanied by Bjarne Lowdin on piano, Olivia mixes the true story of Zarah Leander with her own story as an actress in The Big Apple. The Swedish actress Zarah Leander was the biggest star in the Third Reich and a controversial favourite of Hitler and Goebbels. Her films were box-office successes beyond the German borders and her record sales made her millions. In 1943 she faced a choice that would alter her life forever. This sparkling and riveting show portrays a woman torn between artistry and politics; a woman who was both idolised and hated - and whose songs remain unforgettable to this day. Olivia has performed at the major cabaret rooms in New York City and in theatres and concert halls in Austria and Finland, performing the show in four languages. Call for cover/minimum information.

She is joined by Special Guest Dave O'higgins. Rachel is fast establishing herself as one of London's finest newcomers, with regular appearances at some of the capital's top Jazz venues. She is becoming renowned for her lively and emotive style, together with her eclectic repertoire.
