FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT
Beverly Taki, with Musical Director David Shenton will perform 'An Evening of Cookies and Blues' at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC)212-206-0440)) on Saturday, September 27th at 9:00 pm. She has 3 upcoming shows at the Metropolitan Club in NYC in 2013 and will be performing at Carnegie Hall in 2014. A portion of all proceeds will go to Cookies for Kid's Cancer. She has performed at the Plaza Hotel, Theater East, Delmonico Hotel, Caroline's Comedy Club on Broadway, and The United Nations, all in New York City, and in major hotels in Las Vegas, Reno, Tahoe besides touring extensively in Europe. Cookies for Kids' Cancer is committed to raising funds for research to develop new, improved treatments for pediatric cancer, the #1 disease killer of children in the USA. Gretchen and Larry Witt founded Cookies for Kids' Cancer in 2008. Their efforts have always been inspired by their son Liam's battle with stage IV cancer. Tragically, Liam came to the end of his courageous 4-year fight with cancer on January 24, 2011 at the age of 6. Though devastated by his loss, the Witts remain more determined than ever to continue the fight against pediatric cancer. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
