Five-time GRAMMY Award nominee Tierney Sutton and band perform at DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Thursday through Sunday, February 13th through 16th with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Sutton is often described as a "singer's singer," but just as often (and more fittingly), she is described as a "musician's singer," who uses her voice like an instrument. The members of the Tierney Sutton Band, now widely respected as experienced masters of their craft, have been recording and touring together for over 20 years. Known for a democratic creative approach, the band recently earned a 2011 GRAMMY Award nomination for its collective group arranging. Their fearless song selection features timeless jazz standards, selections from musical theater, traditional American folk music, and the compositions of well-known and artistically respected artists like Joni Mitchell.There is a $40-$45 cover.
