CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE MEMBER EVENT IN NEW ENGLAND: AMAZING THINGS OPEN MIC FEATURING LOUISE VAN AARSEN
Every second Wednesday of the month Leslie Holmes hosts an amazing Open Mic night at the AMAZING THINGS ARTS CENTER (160 Hollis Street, Framingham, MA - 508-405-2787), and each show features a special guest. On Wednesday, February 12th the featured guest will be Louise Van Aarsen. Louise is a Dutch-born Boston-based Singer-Songwriter (by day a cancer research scientist). She recently celebrated the release of her impressive debut album "Destiny," an eclectic song collection co-produced by Rebecca Parris and backed by a stellar band of Boston's finest jazz musicians. Louise's original songs, poignant and touching lyrical stories, are receiving accolades in international songwriting contests, and she is currently working towards her second album. Besides her original compositions, she sings the jazz standards with a passion that makes them her own. Pianist for the show and the open mic is Paul McWilliams. The open-mic starts at 7:00 pm (signup at 6:30 pm), and the featured performers go on at 8:10 pm. There is an $10 cover charge ($9 cover for BACA members).
