NYC: JIM SPEAKE SINGS CY COLEMAN AT THE DUPLEX
MAC nominee, Jim Speake brings back his acclaimed show "I'm A Brass Band, Jim Speake Sings Cy Coleman" celebrating the music of Broadway composer, Cy Coleman for ome more performance, on Sunday. October 19th at 4:30 pm at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438). The show is directed by Lennie Watts with musical direction by Steven Ray Watkins, featuring the SRW band. The show includes songs from: "Sweet Charity", "Barnum", "City of Angels", "The Will Rogers Follies", "Seesaw", "The Life", "Wildcat" and more. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $10 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

After 5 sold-out summer performances, KT Sullivan, Jon Weber and Jeff Harnar will present an encore performance of "OUR TIME: SULLIVAN and HARNAR sing SONDHEIM" at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, October 19th at 4:00 pm. Call for cover/minimum information.

NYC: MELISSA GERSTEIN: "YOU CAN HAVE MANHATTAN"
Melissa Gerstein presents "You Can Have Manhattan" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, October 19th at 4:00 pm. She is accompanied by pianist, Eric Sedgwick. The concert will include works by Porter, Gershwin, Gwon, Kerrigan, Lowdermilk, Bricusse and more! All of the works are in the jazz and cabaret genre, a genre that Melissa loves to dabble in when she isn't performing opera and classical music! Melissa Gerstein has gained considerable notice in the New York City music scene. Her background includes training and performance at the American Singers' Opera Project in New York City, Academie Internationale d'Ete de Nice in France, University of Miami's Summer in Salzburg and the Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium in Italy. Ms Gerstein has also performed with such opera groups as the Dell'arte Opera Ensemble, the Little Opera Company of New York, Amato Opera, Chelsea Opera, and One World Symphony Orchestra. A portion of the concert proceeds will benefit Education Through Music. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
