The Mabel Mercer Foundation offers an additional evening on Friday, October 24th at 8:00 pm at CUTTING ROOM (44 East 32nd Street, NYC - 212-691-1900): KABARETT WITH A K" hosted by Karen Kohler. The show also features Greta, Frans Bloem, Jean Brassard, and surprise guests. This special performance remembers and honors the European roots and traditions of cabaret, also demonstrating the new cutting edge. Reservations must be made through The Mabel Mercer Foundation at 212 980-3026. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

Juliet Markowitz returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Friday, October 24th at 7:00 pm with her show "A New York Romance". The show is a semi-autobiographical journey about love and life in the big city! Songs are an eclectic mix, from The Pretenders to The Platters to Rusty Magee and Sondheim. The group presents the Magic Kindom themed DISTORTED DIZNEE, the Great White Way tribute DISTORTED BROADWAY and the new Silver Screen inspired DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD. This trio of Las Vegas-style drag extravaganzas feature drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling, Dallas DuBois and more. New Zealand Diva Ali Harper is returning to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, October 24th at 7:00 pm in her show DOWN UNDER DIVA! This Diva from Down Under has starred in the hit musicals Mamma Mia, Blood Brothers, Evita, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls and The Sound of Music. Ali was awarded Actress of the Year for her performance in Joanna Murray Smith's one woman play Bombshells which she will be performing on 42nd Street as part of the United Solo Festival in October. The show is a glorious fun filled and sweetly nostalgic show which features some of New York's finest musicians; Musical Director & pianist Alex Rybeck, Sean Harkness on guitar, Jered Egan on bass and Rex Benincasa on drums. Actor and singer Dominic Chianese, known mostly for his starring role as Corrado "Junior" Soprano in HBO's The Sopranos, and for his role as Johnny Ola in The Godfather II, will make his club debut at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday, October 24th at 7:00 pm. Dominic has lived in New York City all his life, and worked in theatre- Broadway (The Rose Tattoo, Requiem for a Heavyweight), Off Broadway (Still Life, Much Ado About Nothing at the Delacorte) and in regional theatres all over the country. Since 1952 when he toured with the America Savoyards Gilbert and Sullivan company, Dominic has been regaling with song as well. (He made his Broadway debut in Oliver!) Dominic will be sharing "Neapolitan Songs Grandfather Taught Me," a selection of classic songs of Naples, including Dicitenciello Vuie, O Sole Mio, Marechiare, A Vucchella, and more. There is a Coven in Connecticut. These Seven Wonders will usher in the Halloween season by singing the witchy songbook of Stevie Nicks, The High Priestess of Rock & Roll. MuseMatch is a Musical Theater Blind Date Collaboration, where composers are paired with singers they don't know and are asked to share their deepest, personal joys and fears; and make a song together. All for charity. MuseMatch 3.0 is a benefit for The Trevor Project. Buster Poindexter will perform at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 21st through 25th at 8:45 pm. Buster Poindexter is the alter ego of New York Dolls frontman David Johansen. Johansen re-recorded the track "Heart of Gold" as Buster Poindexter, which originally appeared on Johansen's 1981 solo album Here Comes the Night.
