NYC: ERIC MICHAEL GILLETT: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF NOEL COWARD

Eric Michael Gillett brings to life the Wit and Wisdom of Noel Coward in his new show at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909), with performances scheduled for Friday & Saturday, October 10th & 11th; Mondays, October 20th & 27th, and November 3rd - all shows at 7:00 pm. Musical Director is Rick Jensen with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Jonathan Kantor on reeds. The epitome of wit and sophistication, Sir Noel Coward's storied career spanned more than half a century. In Man About Town, award-winning cabaret artist Eric Michael Gillett focuses on the music and lyrics of the man known as the Master. After acclaimed evenings dedicated to Harold Arlen, Stephen Sondheim, Craig Carnelia, Lorenz Hart, and his revue in development, The Amanda McBroom Project, Man About Town allows Eric Michael to focus an entire evening on the wit and wisdom of one of the twentieth century's most admired and brilliant artists. From "What's Going to Happen to the Tots," "Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs. Worthington" and "Uncle Harry" to "Come the Wild, Wild Weather" and "London Pride," Man About Town explores the Noel Coward musical legacy in all of its considerable glory. Eric Michael Gillett is known as a director, an actor, a singer, and a teacher. He is the recipient of both the MAC Award for Outstanding Direction and the Dick Gallagher Award, bestowed by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, for his unique contributions to the art of cabaret. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

Opening night event is on Monday, October 20th at 6:00 pm "I LOVE A PIANO" Celebrating the Singing Pianist and hosted by Aaron Weinstein: Performers are Matt Baker, Devin Bing, Jason Robert Brown, Barbara Carroll, Charles Cochran, Alexis Cole, Tony DeSare, Liam Forde, Eric Yves Garcia, Loston Harris, Alex Leonard, Steven Lutvak, Nellie McKay, Mark Nadler, Steve Ross, Daryl Sherman with Surprise Guest. NYC: SUSAN JEFFRIES: IT'S NOT ME, IT'S YOU

Susan Jeffries will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) onMonday, October 20th at 7:00 pm. Susan's professional life has been spent performing in comedies and dramas in classic American theatre, original plays, and in film, and TV. For three years she taught acting in the Tisch Undergraduate Studio Program at New York University. She had never performed in a musical. The time has come to enter the wonderful world of performing as a singer. Her debut show is called "It's Not Me, It's You". She will be accompanied by The Barry Levitt Quartet. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: BLOODSONG OF LOVE, BY JOE ICONIS IN CONCERT

Before Django got Unchained ... Before there were a Million Ways To Die in the West ... There was The Musician singing his Bloodsong of Love. Joe Iconis' Bloodsong of Love will be presented with an immersive, concert-staging at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, October 20th with performances at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. The show premiered in a workshop production at Ars Nova in 2010, played for four weeks, got nominated for three Drama Desk Awards, and rode off towards the sunset. But now it's back and ready to cause a ruckus right in the heart of Times Square. This presentation will give the audience a chance to experience the piece in a dynamic and intimate setting, and offer a glimpse into its future. Bloodsong of Love is a musical interpretation of a Spaghetti Western film. A dizzying work of high-octane rock and roll, it's story spins out in a breathless series of chapters that both embrace and shatter the conventions of classic musical theater. Directed by John Simpkins, Produced by Jennifer Ashley Tepper and starring: Katrina Rose Dideriksen (Hairspray, Jerry Springer The Opera), Eric William Morris (The Last Goodbye, Mamma Mia!), Jeremy Morse (Drama Desk nominee for Bloodsong of Love), Lance Rubin (Billy Witch, The Opposite of Sex), Phillipa Soo (Natasha, Pierre, And The Great Comet Of 1812), and Jason SweetTooth Williams (The Disappearing Man, Things To Ruin). NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
