MAC nominee, Jim Speake brings back his acclaimed show "I'm A Brass Band, Jim Speake Sings Cy Coleman" celebrating the music of Broadway composer, Cy Coleman for ome more performance, on Sunday. The show is directed by Lennie Watts with musical direction by Steven Ray Watkins, featuring the SRW band. NYC: "LOOK WHO'S IN LOVE," A CABARET CELEBRATION OF ROMANCE

On the heels of a successful run earlier this year, and as part of their ongoing one-year anniversary celebration, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) return to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Wednesday, October 15th & Sunday, October 19th, both shows at 7:00 pm. "Look Who's in Love" features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. "Look Who's in Love" celebrates the possibility of finding love at any stage of life, with amusing patter that describes the couple's courting days, which led to their partnership in music and in life. They will premiere three songs they composed together: "You're Making Me Nervous," "Two Heads Are Better Than One," and "Leap of Faith;" attendees will each receive a complimentary copy of their first CD single, "Two Heads Are Better Than One." Christine and Don will also share insider anecdotes from their showbiz careers, including how they were both influenced by Bob Fosse. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

Richard Holbrook returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Sundays, October 19th & 26th at 8:00 pm with his new show 'The Untapped Fred Astaire Revisited'. The show will pay tribute to the legendary dancer's other talents as a gifted songwriter, excellent musician, and most of all, a superb interpreter of song. Among the composers featured in this program, whose music and lyrics were introduced by Fred Astaire, are Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, George & Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern & Dorothy Fields, Howard Dietz & Arthur Schwartz, and Harold Arlen & Johnny Mercer. Richard will be accompanied by the Tom Nelson Trio (Tom Nelson on piano; Tom Kirchmer on bass; and Peter Grant on drums). Tom Nelson is the Musical Director. Richard Barclay is the Director. PALM SPRINGS, CA: JULIE ESPOSITIO COMES TO PALM DESERT

Julie Esposito will perform her new cabaret show entitled "Open Your Window" at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) on Sunday, October 19th at 2:00 pm. Critics have called Ms. Esposito an eclectic singer based on her use of a wide range of both musical styles and composers in her previous shows, and this new latest one is no exception. Joining Julie will be musical director and pianist Andy Howe. The show is part of Less Michael's Sundays in the Summer series. Julie Esposito began singing professionally at the age of 16 back in her hometown of Chicago where she acquired the music bug from her father, the late jazz pianist and musical director, Gene Esposito who worked with many of the big names in music. For "Open Your Window", Julie took a cue from her own life, choosing songs that reminded her of her childhood growing up in the 1960's up through today, a happily married attorney by day - cabaret singer by night. She's appeared at major clubs around Los Angeles and New York and is known for her pure, warm tone and artful phrasing with a unique style characterized by a mixture of jazz, popular, Broadway and The Great American Songbook. This show is also the title of her latest CD, which has earned much praise from reviewers and critics, as did her previous CD, "Unsung Hollywood", which features lessor known gems from the silver screen. Both CD's are available on line at Amazon, CD Baby and of course after her show. There is an $11 cash cover.
