NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK/BARBARA FASANO QUARTET AT KITANO
The Eric Comstock/Barbara Fasano Quartet will appear at JAZZ AT KATANO (66 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-885-7119) on Saturday, October 4th with performances at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Eric & Barbara are joined by Sean Smith on bass and Vito Lesczak on drums. Eric and Barbara have won many honors for their performances and recordings, including a 2010 New York Nightlife Award for Best Duo. Their workshop in the art of performance and song interpretation SING THE TRUTH has enriched the lives and music of hundreds of vocalists. They have an ongoing relationship with the Musical Theater department at University of Michigan, conducting master classes, and have worked with the Michael Feinstein Songbook Initiative in Los Angeles, coaching and judging gifted high school students. Barb Jungr, one of Britain's best jazz cabaret singers, returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, September 30th through October 4th at 8:00 pm. She arrives with new show, This Wheel's On Fire, a special selection of songs for Crazy Coqs. Extending the repertoire of her hugely acclaimed new CD, Hard Rain - the Songs of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, she includes new material by Dylan, Cohen, Springsteen, Steely Dan and more in this passionate, philosophical and unmissable performance. With astute humour and glorious musical accompaniment courtesy of Simon Wallace. Barb Jungr has wowed audiences and critics worldwide with her powerful reinterpretations of Bob Dylan's work. Barb has built a formidable reputation as an international live performer and recording artiste.
