BOSTON: STEPHANE WREMBEL CD RELEASE SHOW AT THE REGATTABAR 

Stephane Wrembel celebrates the release of his latest CD at THE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757 - ) on Saturday, October 4th at 7:30 pm. Born in Paris and raised in Fontainebleau, France - the birthplace of Impressionism and the home of famed gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt - Wrembel was shaped by the fertile creative landscape of the area from his very early years. Later he explored musical genres such as rock, Django, jazz, country, blues, Indian raga, West African, Middle Eastern and others - embracing the many cultures and musical styles he discovered along the way. His arsenal of influences result in a sound unique to Wrembel; a music without genre. Embracing all styles and influence to create a truly signature sound - Wrembel is hailed as one of the world's most dynamic and inspired players out there today. Wrembel is indeed a standout - not only for his undeniable skills but also for his unparalleled ability to create a unique and vivid listener experience. There is a $25 cover. 

TORONTO: JOHNNY O'NEAL TRIO AT THE JAZZ BISTRO

THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) presents one of New York City's preeminent artists on Thursday through Saturday, October 2nd through 4th at 9:00 pm. Johnny O'Neal is a seasoned pianist and singer who has worked regularly with musicians and groups such as Clark Terry, Ray Brown, Sonny Stitt, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson and Milt Jackson's quartet. He is joined by Dave Young - bass and Terry Clarke - drums. There is a $20 cover.
