LONDON: I KISS YOUR HEART: BASED ON DYLAN THOMAS' LETTERS TO PEARL KAZIN
In an exciting collaboration to mark the centenary of the birth of Dylan Thomas, a collection of recently published love letters written from Dylan to American literary critic Pearl Kazin, is performed by Amelia Zirin-Brown (Lady Rizo) and Tim Treloar at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Friday, September 26th at 8:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday, September 27th & 28th at 9:30 pm. As only half of Thomas's and Kazin's conversation exists, the other half has been imagined in this unique night of love, letters, poems and songs. Directed by Steve Marmion, Artistic Director of Soho Theatre, I KISS YOUR HEART features American cabaret star Amelia Zirin-Brown (Lady Rizo) as Pearl, and Welsh RSC stalwart Tim Treloar as Dylan, joined by a jazz trio. The music is composed in a collaboration between Yair Evnine and Greg Harradine (Soho Theatre's composer in Residence). In 1950 Dylan embarked on an intense year-long love affair with Pearl. Their love was documented in a collection of passionate letters sent from around the world to Pearl in America. Thomas' letters to Kazin are published by Parthian, with the title A Pearl of Great Price, edited and introduced by Jeff Towns. I Kiss Your Heart is part of the Dylan Thomas 100, and is generously supported by the Welsh Government. Call for cover/minimum information.
