Taylor returns to the Big Apple after a wildly successful sold out New York City stop of her "Magic" tour, the sultry Los Angeles award winning songstress is returning to trade in the splash and dazzle of her sold-out arena concerts for something intimately special. The show is an elegantly revealing evening of unplugged songs and stories from her breakout album, Magic. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: LUBA MASON PRESENTS MIXTURA AT THE MET 

Luba Mason brings her ground breaking new show 'MIXTURA' to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, October 2ndat 7:00 pm. The show, featuring MD and arranger Felipe Fournier, takes it's audience on a genre-bending ride of different musical styles in one eventful evening. Broadway and recording artist Luba Mason is a classically trained singer, pianist and actor with the impressive Broadway pedigree, really knocks you out with not only her stunning vocal range but also her extraordinary versatility as a performer. Luba has released two critically•acclaimed albums, 'Krazy Love' with a Brazilian theme; and 'Collage', a beautiful marriage of Latin, pop, jazz and poetry. NYC: ANNIE HUGHES IN NYC - ONE NIGHT ONLY

Award winning vocalist Annie Hughes returns to NYC for one night only to perform at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Thursday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm. She will be accompanied by Daryl Kojak at the piano and Ritt Henn on bass. Currently a resident of Wisconsin, Annie appears in local cabaret events and benefits, returning to NYC only occasionally to perform for her many NYC fans. There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE MERDJANOFF COLUMBUS DAY SPECTACULAR!

Tara Merdjanoff, Jeremy Bohen, Jon Delfin and other special guests celebrate all things Italian at the The Merdjanoff Columbus Day Spectacula at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm. The show promises to be a witty, somewhat whacky evening of songs and laughs. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE CHALKS RETURN TO THE LAURIE BEECHMAN

NYC: SYLVIA MIMS - MY FOOLISH HEART

Sylvia Mims, a rare talent, seamlessly blending a deeply rooted jazz sensibility with classical training, will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, October 2nd at 9:30 pm. Sylvia's alluring voice has been lauded it for its beauty, effortless range, and the rare gift of storytelling through song. Sylvia's timbre is like a signature: unique and making each song personal and each story genuinely lived; her extraordinary vocal range is matched by that of her favorite genres: the Great American Song Book, early and contemporary Jazz, Bossa Nova, Broadway, R&B, and Blues. Originally from Los Angeles, Sylvia was extremely active in southern California, being the featured vocalist at the Swing Jazz City Orchestra, and performing at prominent Jazz hot spots such as Chadney's, Ca'del Sole, Frankie's, Lunaria's, Micelli's, The Money Tree, Pointe 705, Hotel Del Coronado, and The Loews Hotel, among others. NYC: POP/SOUL SINGER GEOFF MCBRIDE AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA

Geoff McBride, who was a recent contestant NBC's megahit "The Voice" will perform at CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Friday & Saturday, October 2nd & 3rd with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. He will perform his show 'Journey To The Soul' (the name of his recently released debut album). The multi-talented performer, whose vibe incorporates elements of contemporary jazz, gospel and rock, hopes to deliver on the promise and praise he received in the contest while taking listeners on an adventure that goes beyond strict genre boundaries and showcases the depth of his artistry. NYC: BEN RIMALOWER DEBUTS NEW PLAY "BAD WITH MONEY" 

Ben Rimalower debuts new play "Bad With Money" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) running on Thursdays at 9:30 pm, September 4th through November 6th. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. There is a $25-$50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: IGOR BUTMAN & THE MOSCOW JAZZ ORCHESTRA

Igor Butman & the Moscow Jazz Orchestra perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday & Friday, October 2nd & 3rd at 9:30 pm, after his sold-out engagement last fall. Butman is renowned the world over as a supremely gifted jazz virtuoso, composer and arranger, band leader, impresario, and club owner. Playing alongside him is the Moscow State Jazz Orchestra (aka Igor Butman Big Band), a swinging and lyrical band in the tradition of the Duke Ellington and Count Basie Big Bands. There is a $40-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: SHANKTUNES: A NIGHT OF ORIGINAL SONGS BY LYNNE SHANKEL

An evening of original songs by Drama Desk-nominated orchestrator/arranger Lynne Shankel will be presented at54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, October 2nd at 11:30 pm as part of the clubs Late Night series. Lynne will be joined onstage by some of New York's finest talent for a fun-filled evening of her blend of pop, R&B, swing and musical theatre. ShankTunes will feature songs from the recent Off-Broadway production of bare, as well as premieres of brand new songs. The evening will be directed by Stafford Arima. Lynne Shankel is best known for her arrangements and orchestrations of musicals such as Altar Boyz, Allegiance, and Cry-Baby. She has written arrangements for dozens of artists including Lea Salonga, Chita Rivera, Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley, Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez, and Chester Gregory. She has orchestrated for composers including Stephen Flaherty, David Bryan, Matt Sklar and Zachary Redler.
