CABARET TONIGHT IN LONDON: THE CRAZY COQS OPEN MIC HIGHLIGHTS
The first OPEN MIC HIGHLIGHTS show will be presented at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Sunday, May 4th at 8:00 pm. Four of the most talented singers from the large number of incredibly gifted musicians that have appeared at The Crazy Coqs' regular Thursday Open Mic NIghts in the last year have been invited to come together for a special showcase highlighting the diversity of talent and styles that appear on the Crazy Coqs' stage. Londoner Gary Bland will spotlight songs from his favourite musicals including West Side Story, My Fair Lady and Les Miserables. Julez Hamilton, who has performed all over the world as a singer, an actress and a recording artist, will be performing a selection of songs that cross the genres. Helen Theophanous focuses on her best loved songs by Bricusse and Newley, Harry Warren, Victor Young, the Bee Gees, Bacharach and from The Great American Songbook. Ukrainian Andrij Bukach will sing some of his favourite arias, as well as his version of Freddie Mercury's You Take My Breath Away. Nick Williamson accompanies on piano.
