Halie Loren plus Mads Tolling will perform at YOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Sunday, May 4th at 7:00 pm. Fed by the hyperborean beauty of her childhood Alaska home, Halie Loren's gift for discovering the playfulness, pizazz, and sensuality inherent in a lyric appeared early on. But it was her talent for turning those feelings into genre-defying original compositions - songs at once universal and deeply personal - that captured wider attention. Loren's music has proven irresistible to concert halls and venues worldwide. For the past three years she has traveled the world with the members of her original band, including Canada, Japan, Italy, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Mads Tolling is an internationally renowned violinist, violist, and composer originally from Copenhagen, Denmark. As a former member for over eight years with the pioneering string group, Turtle Island Quartet, Mads has received two GRAMMY• Awards. He regularly tours with acclaimed bassist Stanley Clarke, and he was featured on Stanley's album, "Toys of Men." Dinner/Show: $63 Show only: $25.
