CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: "LOOKS WHO'S IN LOVE," A CABARET CELEBRATION OF ROMANCE

CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: "LOOKS WHO'S IN LOVE," A CABARET CELEBRATION OF ROMANCE

On the heels of their one-year wedding anniversary, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) will join forces for the New York City debut of their first full-length cabaret act as a duo at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, February 9th and Wednesday, February 19th - both shows at 7:00 pm. "Look Who's in Love" features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show celebrates the possibility of finding love at any stage of life, with amusing patter that describes the couple's courting days, which led to their partnership in music and in life. They will premiere three songs they composed together: "You're Making Me Nervous," "Two Heads Are Better Than One," and "Leap of Faith;" attendees will each receive a complimentary copy of their first CD single, "Two Heads Are Better Than One." Christine and Don will also share insider anecdotes from their showbiz careers, including how they were both influenced by working with Bob Fosse. Valentines and singles alike will be charmed by this multitalented couple. Don, who has served as the longtime musical director and pianist for such celebrated singers as Leslie Uggams and Karen Akers, will step into the spotlight for the first time as a singer. In addition to singing, Christine will play violin live and dance to her own prerecorded violin solo. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
