Dom Thomas presents his show 'Some Ol' Love With the King: A Tribute to Nat King Cole' at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Wednesday, February 19th at 8:00 pm. Musical director is Nick Sula. Dom will be delivering standards from the songbook of Nat King Cole. Born and raised in Kirkwood MO, Dom was the oldest of 4 children by Carla and John Hundley. Graduate of Kirkwood High School and Southeast Missouri State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre he is currentlylLiving to Chicago IL for a better opportunity to get noticed.There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
LOS ANGELES: MICHELE BROURMAN WITH "LOVE AND TAKEOUT"
Michele Brourman presents "Love and TakeOut," an evening of original songs, at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Wednesday, February 19th at 9:00 pm. Perhaps best-known to longstanding Gardenia fans as musical director to Amanda McBroom and Dixie Carter, Ms. Brourman has also soloed at the Gardenia on many occasions, and has returned after a hiatus of several years with an expanded portfolio of her own songs, penned alone and with others, many of which have since become familiar to cabaret aficionados. Her song "My Favorite Year," has become a standard recorded by such celebrated performers as Michael Feinstein, Margaret Whiting, and Cleo Laine. In addition, she has co-written and produced songs for 16 animated features for Universal Studios and the Land Before Time television series, created the score for Dangerous Beauty with Amanda McBroom, (produced at the Pasadena Playhouse,) and collaborated with lyricist Sheilah Rae for the off-Broadway musical, I Married Wyatt Earp. She continues to play piano for talents as diverse as McBroom, Tovah Feldshuh, Bernadette Peters, and Bob Dylan. Call for cover/minimum information.

Marla Jones will perform atCATALINA JAZZ CLUB(6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Wednesday, February 19th at 8:30 pm. A native of Topeka, Kansas, Marla currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she has appeared in concert at numerous venues throughout Southern California singing in varied styles of music from inspirational, international (she sings in 5 languages!), show tunes, standards and the great American songbook, to her passion.
