NYC: RAISED ON RADIO: A NIGHT OF MUSIC WITH ERIN McANDREW
New York singer/songwriter Erin McAndrew will perform a selection of original music and covers of Broadway and rock hits in her show 'Raised on Radio: A Night of Music' atTHE DUPLEX CABARETTHEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, February 22nd at 6:30 pm. She will be joined on stage by friends Dan Nelson, Jake Glickman, Jeff Alan, and Joseph Post. There is no cover, just a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: GARY HILL & FRIENDS: A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Gary Hill performs songs from his latest CD, "The 'EP' Project" as well as new material to celebrate his birthday at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, February 22nd at 9:30 pm. Since this is a birthday celebration, what's not a party without having a few friends to join in on the fun. Helping to celebrate his birthday is Richard Louis-Pierre on piano and guitar and a very special performance by songwriting sensation, drag phenomenon and Queen of the Bears herself, Candy Samples. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Hartmann is a professional singer/actress who has peformed all over Southern California with such performers as Susan Egan, Matthew Morrison, Danny Gurwin and Michael Miguire. She comes from a very musical family and you could say performing is in her blood. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: DENNIS DAY AT THE MET
Dennis Day will perform atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, February 22nd at 7:00 pm. Day is no newcomer to the jazz scene. Since his New York debut in the 80s, his performances, vocal stylings, and the quality of his musical collaborations with world-class musicians have distinguished him as a solid performer of soul-jazz and standards. Day has performed New York's major jazz venues, as well as at the Vancouver Jazz Festival; Live! at the Woodrow Wilson Plaza in Washington, DC; Harlem Week; and the Portland International Jazz Festival. At the Metropolitan Room Dennis Day will perform music from his Grindie Award winning CD Dennis Day- All Things in Time awarded Best in Jazz vocal Instrumental music for independent Internet Radio 2009. The versatile singer is backed by a world class band : Billy Kaye d. who has backed Thelonius Monk, Dizzy Gillespie and George Benson, Carlton Holmes, p.who has performed and recorded with Lionel Hampton, Max Roach, Kenny Garrett, Stevie Wonder and Dianne Reaves and for the Martha Stewart' Home For The Holidays Special. Paul Beaudry, b. Paul has toured and recorded with Clark Terry, Eddie Henderson, Roy Hargrove and Dave Valentine., Elijah Shiffer, Alto sax, winner of Downbeat and ASCAP awards for young artists. 2010 has appeared with Jimmy Heath, Wycliff Gordon, and Lou Donaldson. Ethan Mann, G. is a much sought after guitarist as an accompanist and groove setter for some of the city's finest venues singers and bands, Ethan can be heard each Monday night at the Carlyle Hotel. His recent CD "Acoustic Project" has received critical acclaim a graduate of MSM he has performed in The Montreal Jazz Festival and appearances in Japan and Brazil. NYC: JOAN RIVERS: LIVE IN TIMES SQUARE!
Comedy legend Joan Rivers returns with her her live stand-up act to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturday, February 22.d at 7:30 pm. Rivers presents an evening of her newest and most outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, reality TV and award show fashions. Rivers delivers a raunchy, politically incorrect evening of stand-up comedy. A full dinner menu and bar are available, and pianist Will Hall plays from the time doors open until Joan takes the stage. NYC: TAMMIE BROWN: WALKING CHILDREN IN NATURE
RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars alum Tammie Brown makes her New York debut at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Friday & Saturday, February 21st & 22nd at 7:30 pm with WALKING CHILDREN IN NATURE. The show features many of Tammie's original songs, including "Clam Happy," "Love Pinata," and "Disco's Undead." Tammie Brown is a gay American singer, actor and drag performer, perhaps best known for his appearance as a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race, Season 1 and RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars. Currently, he is a fixture in the Southern California Drag scene. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Tammie started his auspicious career performing as Cha Cha in the musical "Grease," and as the Wicked Stepmother in "Into the Woods." One of the world's most beloved and versatile voices, Linda Eder, returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, February 20th at 7:00 pm and Friday & Saturday, February 21st & 22nd at 8:00 pm. Linda is forever linked to Broadway history via her Theatre World Award winning performance in Jekyll & Hyde. She's a best-selling recording artist with fourteen solo albums to her credit. NYC: SOLEDAD BARRIO & NOCHE FLAMENCA AT JOE'S PUB
The world-renowned Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca celebrates 15 years at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) with a career retrospective that features the company's best-known works as well as selections from Antigona, a brand new piece commissioned by Joe's Pub as part of the New York Voices series. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday, February 18th through 22nd at 7:00 & 9:30 pm, with an additional performance on Saturday the 22nd at 2:00 pm. Noche Flamenca was founded by artistic director Martin Santangelo and his Bessie award-winning wife Soledad Barrio. Writing in the New York Times, the chief dance critic Alastair Macaulay has called Barrio "an intensely dramatic dancer", noting that her skilled footwork expresses "the brilliance and color of flamenco rhythm". Although deeply rooted in the beautiful Flamenco culture of Madrid, Noche Flamenca's authentic gypsy heritage was reborn in New York City. The company maintains the essence, purity and integrity of one of the world's most complex and mysterious art forms, creating powerful performances that radiate off the Joe's Pub stage.
