MATINEE CABARET TODAY: NYC: SALLY MORGAN WITH SONGS FOR THE OPEN ROAD
Sally Morgan brings her show 'Songs for the Open Road' toTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, November 17th at 4:00 pm. Songs for the Open Road is a show about renewal, rebirth, and transformation - moving on and moving forward. This is singer Morgan's debut at the Metropolitan Room after many years of successful shows throughout the tri-state area. With Rick Jensen at the keys and Lina Koutrakos as director, she relies on Mother Road and an excellent road trip to reclaim herself and listen to that radio! Lending their songs to this line up are composers that range from Texas singer songwriter Nancy Griffith, to Berlin composers Hollaendar and Schiffer, and Henry Mancini, as well as other pop and standards - and always a bit o' country! Songs for the Open Road is about how friends and family - and music - save you in the worst of times. Come celebrate the best of times on the other side of this odyssey - musically. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
