L.A.: NORMAN LASITER COMES TO ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATER
Local favorite, Norman Lasiter will perform his show "Both Sides Now" at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) on Sunday, August 25th at 2:00 pm as part of the Sundays In Summer Series from Les Michaels Life Is A Cabaret Entertainment.. Mr. Lasiter, who is originally from Indiana, moved to New York City where he met his musical director, noted arranger and pianist, Christopher Marlowe. Together they honed some of their favorite songs as well as rekindling some recorded by Nancy Lamott, with whom Mr. Marlowe worked up until her passing in 1995. The results are two CD's: "Trust The Wind" and "The Gift Of Love". The August 25th show will incorporate songs from these CDs and from several of Norman's previous shows as well as a few new ones, along with patter and stories about himself, the songs, and life in general. There is a $10 cash cover.
