Whether you're a long time jazz buff or new to the genre, this series, sponsored by the country's premier jazz radio station, promises a truly classic only-in-New York experience. French-American jazz vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant will perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - http://www.54below.com/ ) on Tuesday, June 25th with shows at 7:00 & 9:00 pm. Cecile is the hottest young jazz singer of our time. Celebrating her highly anticipated debut release, WomanChild (Mack Avenue, May 2013), the 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition Winner has the critics beaming! In the aftermath of her Monk Competition triumph, the jazz world eagerly awaited the winner's first US recording. Cecile answers that call with songs spanning three centuries of American music.
